Interior design experts share paint colors that should and should not be used for kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms.
Choosing paint colors for the rooms in the house seems easy but is actually very difficult because it can take a lot of time and cost a lot of money.
Although most people often choose paint colors based on personal preferences, some paint colors can make areas in the home feel smaller. According to experts, using colors properly can bring a more relaxing feeling.
Juliette Thomas, founder and director of interior company Juliettes (UK), said: “The kitchen is a shared and busy space in the home, so it can be difficult to choose the right color. It’s best to consider the room’s natural light before making a decision. If it has a lot of light, avoid using all white as this can make it feel cold. If the room has little light, absolutely do not use bold, dark colors because it can make the room look smaller and more cramped”.
Instead, experts recommend choosing green, an extremely popular color this year.

“Choose green kitchen cabinets paired with lighter walls to add contrast,” says Juliette, adding: “For a room with lots of light, go bold with cabinets. Dark green combined with warmer colors”.
If the room is darker, experts recommend choosing brighter blue tones.
Along with the kitchen, the bedroom is considered one of the most important areas in the house. According to experts, you should use softer colors for this private area because they help you sleep well and relax.

“Avoid colors that are too stimulating like red, orange or yellow,” Juliette explains. These are energetic colors, so they are not suitable for a place that needs relaxation like the bedroom. Blue brings a feeling of tranquility and calmness and is therefore very suitable for the bedroom. However, a completely blue room can feel cold. So you should combine it with warmer colors or gentle neutrals or pastels to create a more pleasant feeling”.
As for the bathroom, interior experts recommend being creative but avoid using all white.

“You will have to clean constantly because this color easily reveals stains,” Juliette explains.
“Instead, light blue in the bathroom can create a more luxurious feel and be easier on the eyes when we wake up in the morning or go to bed,” she adds. “Combining blue with copper metals to create a warm, muted atmosphere is trending.”
